Obituary of Fay Money Watkins

Mrs. Fay Money Watkins, a former resident of Ozark, passed away Monday, August 14, 2023. She was 94 years old. Funeral services for Mrs. Watkins will be graveside 11:00 A.M. Friday, August 18, 2023, in Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery, 14233 Upper Columbus Road, Coker, Alabama 35452, with Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. Mrs. Watkins was born October 24, 1928 in Gantt, Alabama to the late Felton Watkins and Mattie Lee Rogers Watkins. She was a long-time member of Ozark Baptist Church where she was a past President of the Kenn Club. Mrs. Watkins was a member of the Purple Heart Society, Wiregrass Good Sam Club and the Eastern Star. She worked with the Army and Air Force Exchange Service at Fort Rucker (now Fort Novesel) as a Supervisor and Store Manager until her retirement. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Felton Watkins; and her sister, Lucille Caudle. Survivors include three sons, Felton “Sonny” Watkins III, James Watkins and Robert Watkins. Several grandchildren and great grandchildren also survive.
