Obituary of Marsha Elaine Casey
Miss Marsha Elaine Casey, a resident of Ozark, passed away Tuesday evening, March 5, 2024, and has joined her Heavenly Father, her parents, Reverend Gene and Jewell Casey, as well as many other loved ones in their eternal home. She was 65 years old.
Funeral services for Miss Casey will be 2:00 P.M. Sunday, March 10, 2024, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home in Ozark with David E. Reisch officiating. A private interment service will be held following the service, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home in Ozark Sunday from 1:00 P.M. until service time.
Marsha was born November 17, 1958 in Elamville, Alabama to the late Reverend Edwin Gene Casey and Jewell Elizabeth Powell Casey. Marsha graduated from Vivian B. Adams School and worked for a few years at Ozark Nursing Facility. One of her greatest joys in life was serving in the church nursery where she rocked and loved many babies over the years. Marsha never met a stranger and was always eager to talk to everyone. Marsha read her Bible and prayed everyday for all of her life. She treasured her family and did not miss a birthday or anniversary. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents and several aunts and uncles.
Miss Casey is survived by one sister, Marylin Paramore (Noah Derrell) of Ariton; one niece, Angela Olguin (Mike) of Dothan; one nephew, David Reisch (Angie) of Cowarts; five great nieces, Chelsea Danner of Mobile, Chloe Danner of Dothan, Laurel Lopez (Nic) of San Antonio, Texas, Brittany Bowen (Myles) of Perry, Georgia, and Kaitlyn Rogers (Randy) of Dothan; two great nephews, Colby Danner of Dothan and Nick Olguin of Dothan; one great-great nephew, Korbin Rogers of Dothan; one great-great niece, Reagan Lopez of San Antonio, Texas; one aunt, Jo Ann Sutton (Jivas) of Ariton; three uncles, Gerald Casey of Dothan, Louis Powell of Winter Haven, Florida and Marvin Powell (Brenda) of Blakely, Georgia; and one special life-long friend, Rhonda Peters. Many cousins also survive.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made in her memory to Vivian B. Adams School, 2047 Stuart Tarter Road, Ozark, Alabama 36360.
