Jennie was a wonderful lady. She and my sister Marjorie were good friends in school. Being younger I was on the fringe of that age group, but I always recognized what a dear soul she was. My deepest sympathies. Judy Miller McLaughlin

Although I did not know Jennie very long, I considered her a friend. We quilted together at OBC. We shared the love of quilting and serving. Jennie was always kind and encouraging. I believe she has been a blessing to many. She will certainly be missed. There is no more pain for Jennie. She is resting in the presence of our Lord. I pray for comfort for the family.

What a legacy Jeannie leaves with her family and former students. I always remember her kind ways and compassionate ways over the years. We know her soul is resting with our Heavenly Father, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. May all of her family receive your comfort through your faith. There are no words to describe how much I will miss Jennie, a forever friend since we were 13 years old. There are no words to describe her immense courage, her absolute acceptance of that cruel diagnosis, and her complete absence of self-pity. My words are, “I love you, Jennie, and I hope to see you on the other side. May you have a fine sewing machine and lots of quilts to make in Heaven! (And, no, you are still not going to teach me sewing and quilting!) Love, Mackie
