Obituary of Robert Carl Wise

Mr. Robert Carl Wise, a resident of Ariton, went to be with our Heavenly Father on Monday, April 22, 2024. He was 59 years old. Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday, April 25, 2024, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home in Ozark with Pastor Jeff Downing officiating. Interment will follow in Bethel Assembly of God Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home in Ozark Thursday from 10:00 A.M. until service time. Mr. Wise was born November 7, 1964 in Chipley Florida, to parents Austin Sherwood Wise and Sharon Lomax Wise. During his fathers’ Naval service to our country, Robert lived and traveled the world, experiencing Naval Cruisers first hand and the Islands of Puerto Rico, as well as having lived in Italy. He moved back to the states in his later teenage years, where he met and married his high school sweetheart, and had their three children. His years were filled with hard work and determination always striving for his best. He worked as a Quality Management Supervisor at Pemco World Wide Air in Dothan, Alabama, before he transitioned to Army Fleet Support at Fort Rucker, Alabama, as a quality assurance Manager. His last years were spent surrounded by grandchildren and trips to the mountains as he fought a long hard illness. He has shown all who knew him enormous strength and resilience, and ultimately the love and peace that only Jesus Christ can bring to one in their time of need, for that we are grateful. He was preceded in death by his father, Austin Sherwood Wise and his brother, Bradley Carl Wise. He is survived by his loving wife, Charlene Manship Wise; three children, Michael Wise (Shana), Eric Wise (Allison) and Ashley Wise Harrell (Roman); his mother, Sharon Lomax Wise; twelve grandchildren, Lizzie Wise, Landon Wise, McKinley Wise, Bella Wise and Cash Wise, Austin Wise, Hunter Wise and River Wise, Kailey Harrell, Breelie Harrell, Brooklynn Harrell and Breonna Harrell.
