Obituary of Helen Ratliff Gardner

Mrs. Helen Joyce Ratliff Gardner, a resident of Ozark, died Saturday, June 29, 2024. She was 84 years old. Funeral services for Mrs. Gardner will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, July 3, 2024, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home in Ozark with Brother John Crosby officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Memory Gardens, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home in Ozark Wednesday from 10:00 A.M. until service time. Mrs. Gardner was born July 11, 1939 in Adamsville, Alabama to the late Myrtis Turner and Herbert Ratliff. Helen worked at Marie’s Frame Works in Ozark and where she was a member of Grace Baptist Church. She enjoyed crocheting and spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Wayne Gardner. Survivors include her daughters, Ophelia Richardson (John) of Ariton and Brenda Venuti (Lou) of Dothan; her sons, Wayne Gardner (Lisa) of Ozark and Scott Gardner (Phillis) of Ozark; grandchildren, Andy Phillips (Stacey), John Richardson, Adam Richardson, Amber Dean (Jeff), Kristi Bell (Jeremy), Matthew Richardson (Alyssa), Candice Gardner and Cassie Gardner; sixteen great grandchildren; one brother, Carl Ratliff (Eillen) of Brooksville, Florida and one sister, Edna McCoy of Douglasville, Georgia.
