Obituary of Terry Hataway

Mr. Terry Hataway, a resident of Prattville, Alabama, died Monday, August 12, 2024, at his home. He was 73 years old. A memorial service for Mr. Hataway will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday, August 16, 2024, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home in Ozark with Reverend Tim Willis officiating, Holman Funeral Home directing. Mr. Hataway was born June 12, 1951 in Opp, Alabama to the late Bill Hataway and Merion Othine Willis Hataway. He graduated in 1969 from Dale County High School and served four years in the United States Air Force. Terry worked with the Master Lock Corporation for several years. He was an avid Alabama fan, a Civil War buff and enjoyed going fishing. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Sherry Loftin (Clark); and two brothers, Randy Hataway and Ricky Hataway. Survivors include one daughter, Amy McCord (Matthew) of Weogufka, Alabama; two sons, Chris Hataway (April) of Ochlocknee, Georgia and Matthew Hataway (Amellia) of Gulf Breeze, Florida; one sister, Janet Coker (Jim) of Cumming, Georgia; one brother, Kevin Hataway of Newton, Alabama; Grandchildren, Tanner Davis (Anna), Ashton Hataway, Riley Davis, Ella Hataway, Elijah Hataway and Arany Hataway; and one great grandchild, Ryder Hataway.
