What great memories we will have of Wendell over the years. How welcoming he and Mary were at Skipperville Methodist Church and anytime we were together. The Skipperville community has lost one of its most loyal supporters. We know his soul is resting with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and know all of his family will receive your comfort through your faith. We thank God for the life of Wendell Payne, Sr.

Wendell had a great sense of humor and was a faithful follower of Jesus. He always called me preacher. He was serving at church the day before he went to the hospital. I will always remember his dedication.
