Mrs. Thagard attended Carroll High School and received her B. S. Degree in Personnel and Human Resources from Faulkner State College in 2000. She was employed for the past 15 years with the State of Alabama Department of Industrial Relations in Ozark and Dothan. She was a member of the Ozark Optimist Club, serving on their Board. She also served on the Board of the Salvation Army in Dothan. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frances Bottoms Wilcher and Jack Wilcher.
