Obituary of Patrick Joseph Brannan

Mr. Patrick Joseph Brannan, 71, of Ozark, died Monday, December 21, 2015. Funeral services will be 2:00 P. M. Wednesday, December 23, 2015, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home and Cremations in Ozark with Dr. Ben Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Memory Gardens, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 12:00 Noon until service time. Mr. Brannan was born July 24, 1944 in Montgomery, Alabama to the late Thomas Rhody Brannan, Jr. and Lois Adeline Strickland Brannan. He grew up in Ozark and graduated from Carroll High School in 1963. Pat worked for Sears for many years prior to owning and operating the Sears store in Troy for twenty years. He then worked with Wal Mart for the past twelve years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, William Sherry Brannan and Thomas Rhody Brannan III. Survivors include his wife, Betty Jo Walker Brannan of Ozark; two daughters and one son-in-law, Kimberly Jo Dove of Andalusia, Patricia Jo and Robert Herndon of Troy; one son and daughter-in-law, Patrick Joseph, Jr. and Amber Brannan of Ozark; one sister, Lois Marie McAliley of Columbiana; seven grandchildren, Joseph Burton (Hayley) Dove, Michael Aaron (Sara) Allen, John David (Kristin Boyer) Dove, Patrick Lucas Herndon, Morgan Brannan Dove, Bailey Elizabeth Brannan, and Patrick Joseph Brannan III; one great grandchild, Hayden Evan Dove.
