Obituary of Alice Greene Suiter

Mrs. Alice Greene Suiter, 81, of Daleville, died Thursday, November 3, 2016, at her home. A memorial service for Mrs. Suiter will be held at 11:00 A. M. Monday, November 7, 2016, in Daleville Baptist Church with Reverend Jim Peters officiating. Inurnment will be in Westview Memorial Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home and Cremations of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time on Monday at the church. Mrs. Suiter was born March 7, 1935 in Troy, Alabama to the late Rupert D. Greene and Fannie McQuagge Greene. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree from Auburn University and Masters of Education and Masters of Administration from Troy University. She taught school for twelve years and was school principle for twenty-three years at Fort Rucker School System. Mrs. Suiter was an active member of Daleville Baptist Church for thirty-nine years. She loved her children and grandchildren, her pets, and traveling. Survivors include her husband, Leo F. Suiter of Daleville; two sons and daughters-in-law, Allen and Alisa Phillips, Sam and Ann Phillips all of Ozark; two step-sons, Ed Suiter and Robert Suiter of Daleville; two sisters, Fannie Greene Clark of Eufaula, Betty Greene Riley of Indianapolis, Indiana; eight grandchildren, Sarah Phillips, Kristopher Phillips, Michelle Brown, Jessica Kellum, Michael Strickland, Zandi Foss, Noah Suiter, and Steven Suiter. Seven great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survive. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, Attn.
