Obituary of Beatrice Newsome Tibbetts

Mrs. Beatrice Mattie Newsome Tibbetts, 87, of Ozark, died Monday morning, June 20, 2016, at her home.
Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Thursday, June 23, 2016, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home and Cremations in Ozark with Reverend Tom Skeen officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Memory Gardens, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home in Ozark Wednesday evening from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P. M.
Mrs. Tibbetts was born May 25, 1929 in South Port, Florida to the late Willie C. Newsome and Beaulah Taunton Newsome. She worked with the Army and Air Force Exchange Service at Fort Rucker until her retirement. She was a kind and caring person who loved everyone. Her life revolved around her family and their happiness. Mrs. Tibbetts enjoyed the outdoors and camping at the lake. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Janice Smith; her son, Robert S. Tibbetts; and four sisters.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Tibbetts of Ozark; two daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie and Mike Riley of Newville, Linda and Bill Temple of Tennessee; one son, Gary Tibbetts of Ozark; eleven grandchildren, several great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to The Alzheimer’s Resource Center, P. O. Box 1170, Dothan, Alabama 36302.
