Obituary of Mac Dwain Ham

Mr. Mac Dwain Ham, 73, of Ozark, died Thursday, December 24, 2015, in Southeast Alabama Medical Center. Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Monday, December 28, 2015 in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home and Cremations in Ozark with Reverend Jim Hill and Reverend Kenneth Hale officiating. Interment will follow in Westview Memorial Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home and Cremations of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home in Ozark Monday from 9:30 A.M. until service time. Mr. Ham was born April 25, 1942 in Abbeville, Alabama to the late Albert V. Ham and Addie Lou Jones Ham of Henry County. After graduating from Abbeville High School, Mac joined the United States Air Force and was stationed in England where he met and married his wife, Patricia. In 1966 he went to work with Alabama Power Company and retired after thirty-eight years. He was a faithful member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church in Ozark. He dearly loved his family and they loved him. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Faye Day; and one brother-in-law, Buck White. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Ham; one son, Matthew Wayne Ham; one daughter and son-in-law, Suzanne and Ricky Harrell; two grandsons, Jake Harrell and Will Harrell; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Orvis and Faye Hamm, Truette and Mary Hamm; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Julie White, Sybil and Marvin Peak; sister-in-law in England, Elaine and Nick Sayer. Many loved nieces and nephews also survive. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made in his memory to Ridgecrest Baptist Church Building Fund, 1971 Deese Road, Ozark, Alabama 36360.
