Mrs. Pamela Regina Hughes Spivey, 48, of Ariton, died Friday evening, March 10, 2017.
Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, March 14, 2017, from Bethel Assembly of God Church with Pastor Jeff Downing officiating. Interment will follow in Ariton Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home and Cremations of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home in Ozark Monday evening from 5:00 P. M. until 7:00 P.M.
Mrs. Spivey was born December 8, 1968 in Ariton, Alabama. She graduated from Ariton High School in 1987. She was gifted with a unique Christian Ministry and used her talent as a ventriloquist to lead many to Christ over the past years. Mrs. Spivey loved animals and was an avid supporter of the humane society. She was elected as Mayor of Ariton, Alabama in November.
Survivors include her parents Max and Betty Hughes of Ariton; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Melony and David Downing of Williamsburg, Virginia, Angela and Pastor Jeff Dowing of Ariton, Alabama, three nephews, Joshua Downing, Scoey Downing (Samantha), and Trenton Downing (Kimberly), and one great nephew yet to be born, Greyson Elisha Downing; and her canine daughter, Paisley.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Ozark-Dale County Humane Society, P. O. Box 2502, Ozark, Alabama 36361.
