Mrs. Shelby Jean Kennedy Stewart, 79, of Ozark, died Thursday, April 20, 2017.
Funeral services will be 11:00 A. M. Saturday, April 22, 2017, from Post Oak Baptist Church with Reverend Matthew Wright officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery, Holman Funeral Home and Cremations of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home in Ozark Friday evening from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M.
Mrs. Stewart was born January 8, 1938 in Cadiz, Kentucky to the late Denford Newell Kennedy and Martha Frances Sanders Kennedy. She worked with Civil Service at Fort Rucker for several years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Martin Stewart.
Survivors include nine children, Debra Thomas (Jackie-deceased) of Ozark, Kathy Bishop (Lonnie-deceased) of Ozark, Kenneth Stewart (Mary) of Union, KY, Beverly Franks (Marty) of Ozark, Darlene Helms (Steve) of Ozark, Mike Stewart of Ozark, Daphne Willis (Tommy) of Ozark, Melita Smith (Brett) of Ozark, Carmen Kamats (Bill) of St. Marys, PA; twenty-one grandchildren, Melanie Smith (Eric), Anitra Cannon (Bill), Jackson Thomas (Chalice), Danny Bishop (Mikell), Amanda Ricke (Mike), Travis Stewart (Julie), Amber Stewart, Kevin Franks (Jamie), Kyle Franks (Jessi), Steffen Helms, Heath Helms, Miles Helms, Joshua Stewart (Hahn), Jacob Stewart, Casta Hyde (DJ), Caleb Willis, Wade Baldwin, Shelby Smith, Maggie Smith, Emily Kamats, Anna Kate Kamats; twenty-seven great grandchildren, Katie Smith, Benjamin Smith, Kalie Smith, Jaycee Thomas, Joely Thomas, Maddee Gaught (Matthew), Hannah Beth Cannon, Daniel Cannon, Ian Cannon, Madison Bishop, Katelyn Bishop, Sydney Bishop, Kamryn Faria, Konner Thomas, Travis Stewart, Dillon Newman, Anaya Newman, Jordan Newman, Kyleigh Franks, Avarie Franks, Braelyn Franks, Amelia Franks, Alice Stewart, Ethan Stewart, Marcus Stewart, Ayden Newton, and Drake Hyde; one great-great grandchild, Molly Claire Bishop.
