Mrs. Salome Harris Power, 97, of Jackson, Alabama, died Tuesday, March 31, 2015. Funeral services will be graveside 11:00 A. M. Thursday, April 2, 2015, in Woodlawn Memory Gardens with Reverend Dr. Steve King officiating. Interment will follow, Holman Funeral Home and Cremations of Ozark directing. Mrs. Power was born August 3, 1917 in Ozark, Alabama to the late Porter C. Harris, Sr. and Ethel Dean Harris. She worked as a bookkeeper in the public education system. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Glenn Power. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Millie and Chris Doggett of Jackson, Alabama; two grandchildren, Scott and Sara Doggett of Jackson, Alabama, Patrick and Megan Doggett of Spanish Fort, Alabama; three great granddaughters, Della Doggett of Spanish Fort, Alabama, Emmie and Lizzie Doggett of Jackson, Alabama; one great grandson, Jack Doggett of Jackson, Alabama. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pilots for Christ, P.O. Box 707, Monroeville, AL 36461.
