Obituary of Lollie Myers Avery

Mrs. Lollie Myers Avery, age 81, of Ozark, died Sunday morning, July 20, 2008, at her home following a lengthy illness. Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, July 22, 2008 in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home of Ozark with Reverend Gary Winstead officiating. Interment will be at 12:30 P. M. in Gardens of Memory Cemetery, Kinsey, Alabama, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 9:30 A.M. Tuesday until service time. Mrs. Avery was born September 6, 1926 in Dale County to the late Sally Smith Myers and David Myers. She worked as a cashier with Army and Air Force Exchange Service at the Fort Rucker Post Exchange. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Kenneth James Avery. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Aggie and Randall Page of Ozark; four sons, Michael Gerald Avery of Ozark, Ronald Eugene Avery of Ozark, Robert Earl Avery of Columbia, and Roy Wayne Avery of Ozark; six grandchildren, Amy Bowers and husband, Judd, Jonathan Page and wife, Laura, Christopher Avery, Derrick Avery, Hannah Avery, and Candace B. Avery; two great grandchildren, Garrett Bowers and Brianna Bowers. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Day Springs Hospice, P. O. Box 311246, Enterprise, Alabama 36331.
