Obituary of Mary Slawson Ivey

Mrs. Mary Etta Slawson Ivey, 91, formerly of Elamville, died Tuesday, July 28, 2015, in Wetumpka. Funeral services will be 11:00 A. M. Saturday, August 1, 2015, in Elamville Assembly of God Church in Elamville, Alabama with Reverend John Brannon and Reverend Kenneth Earles officiating. Interment will follow in Holmes Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home and Cremations of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends Saturday at the church from 9:30 A. M. until service time. Mrs. Ivey was born January 23, 1924 in Barbour County to the late Andrew James Slawson and Mamie Hartzog Slawson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Travis Durell Ivey. Mrs. Ivey is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Faye Ivey and Charles C. Rowe of Montgomery, Joy Ivey and Jimmy H. Baker of Montgomery; two granddaughters, Kim Baker Ellis of Enterprise, Ivey Baker Myrick (Donald) of Pelham; great grandsons, Barry Paul Ellis III and Travis Baker Ellis of Enterprise, great granddaughter, Campbell Lane Myrick and great grandson, Miller Harrison Myrick of Pelham; and a sister-in-law, Nell Ivey. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Service Information
