Mr. Bobby Ammons, age 80, of Ozark died Saturday, October 18, 2008 in Troy Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be 10:00 A. M. Tuesday, October 21, 2008, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home in Ozark with Reverend Charles Littlefield officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Memory Gardens, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 9:00 A. M. Tuesday until service time. Mr. Ammons was born November 13, 1927 in Barbour County to the late Robert and Velma Jones Ammons. He attended Elamville School and worked with the Ozark City School System for 20 years until his retirement. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who enjoyed fishing and hunting. Survivors include his wife of 22 years, Shirley Ann Hood Ammons of Ozark; one daughter, Faye Smith of Ozark; two sons and one daughter-in-law; Pete and Janet Ammons, and Zachery Ammons all of Ozark; two step children, Donald Pierce and wife Cory, and Angie Pierce all of Ozark. Eleven grandchildren and six great grandchildren also survive.
