I had the privilege of working with Jerry for many years at Ft Rucker, Jerry as the post fire chief, and my job as military fire chief. Jerry and I formed a strong bond working many aircraft accident or.othwr emergencies during day or night. The soldiers always thought highly of jerry, and his support of the firefighters was his main concern. Jerry always had my back and I had his, I had the privilege and pleasure of meeting jerry family on different occasion, and my thoughts and prayers are with you. I retired in 96 from Ft Rucker and that was the last time I saw and talked with jerry, as I moved to oregon. I have posted the sad news of jerry passing on the flatiron and ft rucker Firefighter Facebook pages, and there is many great responses from soldiers who served with Jerry at Rucker. I myself have many fond memories of my time with Jerry and many stories while working him. He will be missed
