Obituary of Charles C. Andrews

Mr. Charles C. "Junior" Andrews, 81, of Ozark, died Wednesday afternoon, April 12, 2006 following a brief illness. Funeral services will be 3:00 P. M. Friday, April 14, 2006, in Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church with Reverend O'Neal Brown officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. Mr. Andrews will be placed in the Church one hour prior to service time on Friday. The family will receive friends at the funeral home form 6:00 P. M. until 8:00 P. M. Thursday evening. Mr. Andrews was a native of Dale County where he was Plant Manager at Cowikee Mills for 26 years after which he managed Clark Cinemas for 17 years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church where he sang in the Choir and served as Treasurer of the first Choir Room addition in the 1950's. Mr. Andrews was preceded in death by his parents, Daisy Herring Young and Charles Andrews, half-brothers, Jackie and Sonny Young, and his stepfather, Frank Young. Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Grace Andrews of Ozark, one son, Walter Charles (Charlie) Andrews of Enterprise, brother, Mickey Andrews and his wife, Margaret of Ozark, half-sister, Frances Barr and her husband, Hall, a special family friend, Mack Clark of Enterprise, and best friend, his dog Mikie. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church Music Fund, C/O Miss Shirley Chancey, 4399 East Andrews Avenue, Ozark, Alabama 36360. Service Information
