Mr. Dwain Dwight Burke, age 74, of Ozark, died early Tuesday morning, December 28, 2010, at his home. Funeral services will be 2:00 P. M. Thursday, December 30, 2010, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home in Ozark with Reverend Randolph Kelley and Chaplain Cliff Quincy officiating. Interment will follow in Westview Memorial Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 12:00 Noon until service time. Mr. Burke was born November 22, 1936 in Barbour County to the late James Benjamin Burke and Pura Mae Ketcham Burke. He worked as an industrial electrician with Alabama Electric in Dothan, and was retired from Dale Medical Center in Ozark. Mr. Burke was a member of Rocky Mount Baptist Church; and a 32nd Degree Mason and member of Ozark Masonic Lodge #349. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Hazel Burke Pettis; and one brother, Maxwell Burke. Survivors include his wife 51 years, Frances Munn Burke of Ozark; one daughter and son-in-law, Michele and Allen Norsworthy of Ozark; one son, Richard Burke of Ozark; one sister, Beulah Crittenden of Montgomery; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Joseph and Evelyn Burke of Dothan, Jim Burke of Birmingham; four grandchildren, Jeremy and Heather Norsworthy, Lee Burke and Keshia Burke Moore; and two great grandchildren, Makenna Heath and Ryleigh Moore.Many nieces and nephews also survie.
