Obituary of Jimmy Byrle Rogers

Mr. Jimmy Byrle Rogers of Ozark passed away Friday, April 20, 2012, in Dale Medical Center after a brief battle with cancer. He was 58 years old.
Funeral services will be 2:30 P. M. Wednesday, April 25, 2012, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home in Ozark with Reverend Dr. Steve King officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends Wednesday at the funeral home one hour prior to the funeral service.
Jimmy was born April 28, 1953 in Dale County, Alabama where he resided throughout his life. He was preceded in death by his parents, David Pruitt and Elizabeth Opal Kirkland Rogers, both of Ozark, and one brother, Charles Clayton Rogers.
He is survived by his wife, Laurie Torgerson Rogers; three sons, David Scott (Brandi) Rogers, Jeremy Brent (Amy) Rogers and Nicholas Clayton Rogers. Also survived by six sisters and four brothers, Carolyn (Doug) Philips, Billy (Betty) Rogers, Merle Kirkland, Faye Seaman, Liz Lewis, Beverly Rogers all of Ozark, Alabama, Reba (Keith) Potts of Cincinnati, Ohio, Jackie (Bridget) Rogers of Troy, Alabama, David (Barbara) Rogers of Daphne, Alabama, Eldridge (Cindy) Rogers of Dothan, Alabama; four grandchildren Christopher Stafford, Jacob Shiver of Ozark, Joseph Rogers and Anna Leigh Rogers of Ariton. Serving as active pallbearers will be Matt Holder, Jayce Quattlebaum, Blake Rogers, Bruce Rogers, Richard Spivey, Wayne Hayes, Jamie Grider, Willie Earl Sanders and honorary pallbearer Robert Cullifer.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Jimmy B. Rogers Memorial Fund, C/O Army Aviation Federal Credit Union.
