Obituary of Steven Benton Littlefield

Mr. Steven Benton Littlefield, age 59, of Dothan, died early Monday morning, March 21, 2011, at his home. Funeral services will be 11:00 A. M. Thursday, March 24, 2011 in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home in Ozark with Bishop Paul Meyers and his brother-in-law Forest Bain officiating. Interment will follow in Creel Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 10:00 A. M. until service time. Mr. Littlefield was born May 29, 1951 in Napier Field to J R Littlefield and the late Merriam Lois Benton Littlefield. He lived most of his lifetime in Dothan, and was a graduate of Wallace Community College with a degree as a Medical Lab Technician. He worked with Flowers Hospital and Southeast Alabama Medical Center. Mr. Littlefield was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of The Latter Day Saints in Dothan. He was preceded in death by his mother, Merriam Lois Benton Littlefield; his daughter, Sandra Marie Littlefield; and his brother, Arthur Talmadge Littlefield. Survivors include two sons and one daughter-in-law, Jason Littlefield, Andrew and Sarah Littlefield all of Dothan; his father, J R Littlefield of Dothan; one sister and brother-in-law, Bonnie and Forest Bain of Dothan; three brothers, Paul and Rhonda Littlefield of Prattville, Jesse Littlefield and Barry Littlefield of Dothan. One granddaughter also survives. The family requests the omission of flowers and suggest memorials may be made to Covenant Hospice of Dothan, 104 Rock Bridge Road, Dothan, Alabama 36303.
