Obituary of James F. Logan

Mr. James F. "Bozo" Logan, age 71, of Ozark, died Wednesday evening, October 29, 2008, in Dale Medical Center following a brief illness. Funeral services will be 11:00 A. M. Saturday, November 1, 2008, from Ridgecrest Baptist Church with Reverend Thomas Leggett and Reverend William Hart officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Memory Gardens, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. Mr. Logan's body will be placed in the Church one hour prior to service time on Saturday. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3:00 P. M. until 6:00 P. M. Friday, October 31, 2008. Mr. Logan was born July 31, 1937 in Dale County to the late William Thomas Logan and Ethel Mae Ziglar Logan. He and his wife, Marie, owned and operated Logan's Cleaners for the past 36 years. He loved all of his customers and personally greeted each one upon their entering, with hugs for the ladies and a warm handshake for the men. Bozo's friendly smile, jokes, and generous loving heart will be missed by his family and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Gene Thomas Logan. Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Marie Evanoff Logan of Ozark; one daughter, Jamie Logan Mathews of Ozark; one son and daughter-in-law, Eddie and Phyllis Logan of Ozark; three sisters, Sue Lucas of Dothan, Martha Whitehead of Marietta, Georgia, and Lillie Logan of Ozark; one brother, E. W. "Dub" Logan of Ozark; four grandchildren, Richard Logan Mathews and his wife, Brittany, Lauren Mathews Newsome and her husband, Norman, Eddie J. Logan, Jr., and Michael Logan; three great grandchildren, Christian Junghans, Bailey Mathews, and Romana Maria Mathews. A host of nieces and nephews also survive. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Vivian B. Adams School, 2047 Stewart Tarter Road, Ozark, Alabama 36360.
