Obituary of Charles Bennett Williams

Mr. Charles Bennett Williams, age 82, of Ozark, died early Saturday morning, April 4, 2009 in Southeast Alabama Medical Center. Funeral services will be 11:00 A. M. Monday, April 6, 2009, from Ridgecrest Baptist Church with Reverend Jim Hill officiating. Interment will follow in Westview Memorial Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends in the church from 9:30 A. M. Monday until service time. Mr. Williams was born November 5, 1926 in Barbour County to the late Sam and Alma Beaty Williams. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving during the Korean Conflict. He then was employed with Dunn Wholesale in Ozark for 29 years. Mr. Williams and his wife owned and operated Reba's Fabrics in Dothan for 29 years until their retirement. He was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church. He was an avid domino player and enjoyed meeting on Tuesday and Thursday with his group in Skipperville. Survivors include his wife, Reba Key Williams of Ozark; one son and daughter-in-law, Sammy and Carol Williams of Dothan; three grandchildren, Ben Williams of Auburn University, Emily Williams of Dothan, and Matthew Williams of Dothan. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Ridgecrest Baptist Church Building Fund, 1971 Deese Road, Ozark, Alabama 36360.
