Mr. Bela A. Novak, age 71, of Ozark, died Wednesday, February 17, 2010, in Flowers Hospital. Funeral services will be graveside at 2:00 P. M. Saturday, February 20, 2009, in Westview Memorial Cemetery with his son, Pastor Jeffery Novak, officiating. Interment will follow with Military Honors; Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 P. M. until 7:00 P. M. Friday evening. Otherwise the family will receive friends at the home of his son, Eddie Headrick, on Chrisney Lane in Dothan. Mr. Novak was born June 4, 1938 in Budapest, Hungry. He left Hungry at the age of nineteen and joined the United States Army in Rome, Italy. He served one tour of duty in Vietnam and two tours of duty in Thailand. Following his military service Mr. Novak began his career in restaurant management. He worked at Lake Point Resort in Eufaula as the manager of the restaurant until 2000 when he had heart surgery. Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Louise McIntyre Novak of Ozark; two sons and daughters-in-law, Eddie Headrick of Dothan, Jeff and Linda Novak of Houston, Texas; three grandchildren, Bayley, Bentley, and Belle Novak of Houston, Texas. Four nieces, three nephews, three great nieces, one great nephew, two great-great nieces, and two great-great nephews also survive. Service Information
