Mr. James Madison Boyer, Jr., age 84, of Ozark, died Saturday, June 25, 2011, in Ozark Health and Rehabilitation Center. Funeral services will be 10:30 Wednesday, June 29, 2011, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home in Ozark with Pastor David Lewis officiating. Interment will follow in Ewell Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 5:00 P. M. until 7:00 P. M. Mr. Boyer was born April 11, 1927 in Memphis, Missouri to the late James Madison Boyer, Sr. and Edrie Olive Rader Boyer. He attended school in Missouri and served in the United States Army. He then started working for Sheller Globe, retiring as a Pattern Maker following 40 years of service. He moved to Ozark in 1992 where he was a member of Ewell Bible Baptist Church. Mr. Boyer was an avid gardener, specializing in vegetables. He was a collector of brass, crystal, and bird houses. He enjoyed attending Klondike Hill Gospel Center. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Jamie E. "Jebbie" Boyer; and one brother, David Boyer. Survivors include his wife, Bertie Taft Boyer of Ozark; one son, Bob Wolff of Ozark; two sisters, Shirley Olson of Naperville, Illinois, and Helen Ruth Cravens of Aurora, Illinois; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Russell and Barbara Boyer of Effingham, Illinois, Robert and Sandie Boyer of Taylor, Texas, Charlie and Teresa Boyer of Columbus, Missouri; one grandchild, Chad Wolff and his wife, Shannon; two great grandchildren, Skylar Wolff, and Chase Wolff.
