Life long resident of Ozark, Alabama Mr. Mansfield Patrick “Pat” White age 87 joined his heavenly Father on October 24, 2015. He was reunited with his wife of 64 years Clarelynn Atkinson White, 85, on October 26, 2015.
A memorial service for Mr. and Mrs. White will be held at 3:33 P.M. Sunday, November 22, 2015, lakeside at Ed Lisenby Lake (Dale County Lake) in Ozark.
Mr. White was born August 28, 1928 to Angus Patrick and Martha White. Mr. White was a member of First Methodist Church in Ozark. He served in the Army during the Korean Conflict and was a Mason. Mr. White worked for GTE until his retirement. He also served as chief of the Ozark Fire Department for 35 years. His most memorable achievement during his fire department tenure was introduction of Emergency Medical Services, providing the City of Ozark and surrounding area with the first Emergency Medical Technicians and Paramedics.
He is survived by daughters Patricia Rebecca White of Atlanta, Georgia and Cindy White Woodham of Dothan; grand daughters Tricia Woodham Watson (Chris) of Laurel, Maryland, Beth Woodham Barber (Michael) of Dothan and great grand daughter Lily Barber of Dothan
