Mrs. Janice Bagwell Free, 72, of Ozark, died Wednesday, September 23, 2015, in Dale Medical Center. A memorial service for Mrs. Free will be held 2:00 P. M. Sunday, September 27, 2015, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home and Cremations in Ozark with Reverend John D. Reese, III officiating, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. Interment will be at a later date in Chalkhead Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to services.
Mrs. Free was born March 23, 1943 in Dale County to the late Homer Ralph Bagwell and Stella Adelphia Hornsby Bagwell. She worked in the office of Dr. Robert J. McLaughlin in Ozark until his retirement and then worked with AAA Cooper as a bookkeeper. She was a member of Lakewood Park United Methodist Church in Ft. Pierce, Florida. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Melvin Bagwell.
Survivors include her husband, Larry L. Free, Sr. of Ozark; one daughter and son-in-law, Karen and James Holcomb of Gainesville, Florida; one son and daughter-in-law, Larry L. Jr. and Kristine Tarter Free of Ozark; one brother and sister-in-law, William S. and Merylon Bagwell of Newton; one sister-in-law and brother-in-law, JoAnn and Durwood Judah of Ozark; eight grandchildren, Jonathan, Christopher, Jennifer, Rachel, Jake, Emily, Jack-Riley, and Brody. Five great grandchildren also survive.
