Obituary of Thyra Griggs Skelton

Mrs. Thrya Griggs Skelton, 75, of Ozark died early Sunday morning July 7, 2013 at her home.
Funeral services will be 10:00 A. M. Tuesday, July 9, 2013, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home in Ozark with the Reverend Harry Circle and Reverend Dr. Rick Patterson officiating. Interment will follow in Westview Memorial Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. Visitation will be in the funeral home parlors with the family receiving friends from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Monday evening.
Mrs. Skelton was a native of Ozark and was the Daughter of James Roy and Vessie E. Davis Griggs. Mrs. Skelton had worked for Deloney’s IGA and Curtis Mathis stores in Ozark. She was a member of the Asbury United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Travis Skelton, Ozark;
her daughter, Tammy Minton, Ozark;
step-daughter, Pamela Chesterton and her husband Greg, Reston, VA;
step-son, Michael Skelton and his wife Lynn, New Port Richie, FL;
grandchildren, Melani Gilmer, Mandi O’Drobinak, Travis and Justin Skelton;
great-grandchildren, Colin Wright, Adam O’Drobinak, Kaleb Andrews and Jonathan Short.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Asbury United Methodist Church Building Fund, 2536 County Road 33, Ozark, AL 36360.
