Mr. James Bradley "Brad" Strickland, age 23, of Ozark, died early Wednesday morning, December 2, 2009, as a result of a house fire. Funeral services will be 10:30 A. M. Saturday, December 5, 2009, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home in Ozark with Reverend Dr. Rick Patterson and Reverend Ken Spivey officiating. Interment will follow in Asbury United Methodist Church Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 P. M. until 7:00 P. M. Friday evening. Otherwise, the family will be at the home of LeRoy and Carol McCarter. Brad was born May 23, 1986 in Dothan, Alabama. He lived his entire life in the Asbury Community, graduated from G. W. Long High School in 2004, and was employed as a carpenter in the home building industry. Brad was an avid deer hunter and fisherman. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Paul and Velma Freeman; and his paternal grandmother, Bessie Hughes Strickland. Survivors include his parents, Lanier and Paula Freeman Strickland; one sister, Erin Micah Strickland; and his paternal grandfather, J. D. Strickland all of the Asbury Community. Aunts, uncles, cousins, and other extended family also survive.
