Mr. Harvey Flake, 77, of Ozark died Sunday morning May 3, 2009, at his home following an extended illness. Funeral services will be 10:00 A. M. Wednesday, May 6, 2009, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home in Ozark with Mr. Don McCall speaking. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Memory Gardens, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 5:00 P. M. until 7:00 P. M. Mr. Flake was born April 16, 1932 in Columbia, South Carolina to the late John Calvin and Kizzie Blackwell Flake. He was a Veteran of the United States Navy serving until his retirement. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lavelle Flake, and his son, Mitchell Flake. Survivors include three sons, Morris Flake of Ozark, Mark Flake of Columbus, Georgia, and Michael Flake of Augusta, Georgia. Seven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews also survive.
