Obituary of Bradley Russell Metcalf

Mr. Bradley Russell Metcalf, age 19, of Ariton, died early Wednesday morning, December 31, 2008, as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Funeral services will be 11:00 A. M. Friday, January 2, 2009, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home in Ozark with Reverend Roger Miller and Reverend John Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3:00 P. M. until 5:00 P. M. Thursday afternoon. Mr. Metcalf was born February 27, 1989 in Dothan, Alabama. He was a native of Ariton, graduated from Dixie Academy in Louisville, and was attending Wallace College. He was a member of Clio Baptist Church. Bradley was an avid baseball player, hunter, fisherman, and enjoyed music and the movies. He had a loving and devoted family, and a special relationship with his mother. Survivors include his mother and step-father, Suzanne and David Hinson of Ariton; father and his significant other, Russell Metcalf and Toni Sullivan of Ozark; maternal grandparents, Bobby and Helen Cox of Clio; paternal grandmother, Mae Jo Faust-Williams and Robert of Union Springs; paternal grandfather, Thomas and Betty Metcalf of Ariton; maternal great grandmother, Lillie T. Sasser of Ozark; two sisters, Hanna Hinson and Helen Hinson of Ariton.
