Obituary of Thomas E. Hood

Mr. Thomas Edward Hood, Jr., age 55, of Ozark, died Wednesday, December 23, 2009, at his home.
Funeral services will be 4:00 P. M. Sunday, December 27, 2009, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home of Ozark, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 2:30 P. M. until service time.
Mr. Hood was born October 21, 1954 in Stuttgart, Germany to the late Thomas Edward Hood and Frieda Karelina Zink Hood. He was raised in Ozark and lived in Ozark and Tuscaloosa most of his life. He served in the United States Air Force for four years, and was in the computer repair industry before becoming a master carpenter. Mr. Hood was an avid NASCAR and college football fan. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Tina Marie Hood.
Survivors include his sister and brother-in-law, Virginia and William Council of Stevensville, Maryland;
one daughter, Amanda Leigh Hood of Montgomery;
two nieces, April and Rachel Carr of Stevensville, Maryland.
Seven grandchildren also survive.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Thomas E. Hood Lodge, Fraternal Order of Police Lodge # 65, C/O Jule Garrison, P. O. Box 567, Daleville, Alabama 36322.
