Mrs. Catherine Nolin Jacobs, resident of Rocky Head, died at her home Monday, August 4, 2014, at the age of 89.
Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 7, 2014, at Rocky Head Baptist Church with Reverend Bill Weed and Reverend Joe Underwood officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Olive Cemetery with Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. Visitation will be at the funeral home Wednesday, August 6, 2014 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice, 126 Hospital Avenue, Ozark, AL 36360.
Catherine (CJ) was born February 17, 1925. A life-long active member of Rocky Head Baptist Church, she was the teacher of the Ruth Sunday School class for many years. She worked at Ozark Manufacturing for 25 years. She was a member of the Rocky Head Quilting Club and a beloved friend to all who knew her.
CJ was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Jim Tom Jacobs; daughter, Amy Jacobs Hughes; parents, Hamp and Vera Nolin; sisters Lorene Parker, Pearl Langford, Myrtle Ruth Langford, Gladys Wallace, Tommie Soloman; and one brother, Durwood Nolin. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Beth Jacobs; grandchildren, Shay (Paul) Bierly, Allie (Robert) Silavent, Justin Jacobs, Cindy (Chris) Hilburn, Gabe Hughes; 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; one sister-in-law, Sara Ellen Nolin; seven nieces and seven nephews.
