We are so very sorry to hear of Steven's untimely death. It has saddened us all and he will be sorely missed. We didn't have the pleasure of knowing Steven but know his brother Scott and if he was anything like Scott, he was a very special person. We are sorry that we couldn't be there for the funeral as we live in Centerville, IA, but please know that our thoughts and prayers are with Scott, his family and friends as they experience the loss of this special person. May this day be a celebration of Steven's life and all the hearts he has touched. Larry and Brenda Strickling

I had not seen Steven for quite some time, but the memories I have of him are fond and dear to my heart. Friends such as Steven are few and far between. When I learned of his untimely passing, I was shocked and deeply pained. I can only imagine the deep sorrow the friends and family are experiencing at this time. He will always be in our hearts and on our minds, and this world will be a lesser place without his kind and loving spirit. I regret not being able to spend more time with him, he was a tried and true friend in a world where this is very difficult to find. I will miss him, and offer my deepest sympathy to the family of a man I was proud to call my friend. I am very sorry, Marty.
