Myers School
Our school began September 2nd with an enrollment of ten pupils:
First grade-Retha Phillips.
Second grade-Donald Koch.
Third grade Judith Stevens, Patricia Koch and Robert Phillips.
Sixth grade-Mary Ellen Koch and Helen Stephens.
Seventh grade-Robert Langan and Charles Koch.
Eighth grade-Lynn Stephens.
Robert Phillips and Robert Langan were absent one day because of sickness. Perfect attendance certificates were awarded all the others.
Patricia Koch heads the Honor Roll this month with an average of 96. Other pupils who have an average of 90 or above are Charles Koch, Robert Langan, Helen Stephens, Mary Ellen Koch and Judith Stephens.
The last day of the month we enjoyed a wiener roast in the woods in the afternoon. Joan Koch was a guest.
Visitors during the month were: Raymond Koch, Francis Langan, Sherman Phillips, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Geisler, Joan Koch and Maurice Koch.
A new furnace was installed during the summer and after using it some of these cool days, we think it is going to be very nice.
Mary Agnes Geisler, Teacher.

One of my best childhood memories of Aunt Judy is riding the bus with her downtown to the dimestore. Aunt Judy bought me a set of dishes and I got to sit at the soda fountain and get a coke. A really big thrill for a littl girl in the 1950's! I love you Aunt Judy and will miss you. My thoughts and prayers are with your family.
