Mrs. Marilyn Hobby Gilley, age 69, of Ariton, died Friday evening, August 14, 2009, in Dale Medical Center.Funeral services have been rescheduled. Funeral services will be 2:00 P. M.Tuesday, August 18, 2009 in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home in Ozark. Interment will follow in Center Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 P. M. until 7:00 P. M. Monday evening.
Mrs. Gilley was born August 18, 1939 in Moultrie, Georgia to the late Carl E. and Lucy Johnson Hobby. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Brenda Joann McKinnon, and one sister, Carolyn Brooks.
Survivors include her husband, Freddie Mack Gilley of Ariton;
one daughter, Sharon Anderson of Glennville, Georgia;
one son, Stephen Curles of Pennsylvania;
sisters, Nita Hobby Pate of Bonair, Georgia, Martha Hobby Morris of Lawrenceville, Georgia, and Phyllis Hobby McKinnon of Columbus, Georgia.
Eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren also survive.
