Obituary of Margie Ward Spraggins

Mrs. Margie Ward Spraggins, age 65, of Ozark, died Tuesday, November 20, 2012, in Southeast Alabama Medical Center. Funeral services will be 10:00 A. M. Saturday, November 24, 2012, from Ozark First Assembly of God Church with Pastor Greg Doss officiating. Interment will follow in St. John Baptist Church Cemetery in the Tarentum Community, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P. M. Mrs. Spraggins was born September 17, 1947 in Troy, Alabama to the late Hilton Darreth and Beatrice Julia Money Ward, and grew up in Brundidge. She was a supporter of the Dale County Foster Parents Association and was a foster parent for many children over the years. Mrs. Spraggins was a member of Ozark First Assembly of God Church. Survivors include her husband of 33 years, Darrell Lee Spraggins of Ozark; one daughter and son-in-law, Audry and Jessie Peters of Fayetteville, NC; one son, Jeffery Spraggins of Ozark; one sister, Hettie Jean Bowman of Ozark; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Delaner and Ann Ward of Brundidge, Bobby and Jean Ward of Peachtree City, GA; a special friend, Jeanette Underwood of Dothan.
