Mrs. Margie Lewis Dees, of Ozark, died Sunday, November 1, 2009, in Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan. Funeral services will be graveside at 2:00 P. M. Tuesday, November 3, 2009, in Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery, County Road 36 West, with Reverend Joe Underwood officiating. Interment will follow, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will be at the family residence on County Road 36. Mrs. Dees was born July 7, 1933 and was raised in Moultrie, Georgia. In 1954 she obtained a Georgia Nursing License and enjoyed working as a nurse for several years. In 1967 she obtained her Alabama Dental Hygiene License and helped many local dentist start their practice. In the 1960's Margie and her husband moved to Daleville and owned and operated the first Daleville Florist. Margie loved the Lord and the life He gave her. She loved to study the Bible and pray; she was very firm in her beliefs and faith. Margie enjoyed people, especially her family and friends. Her hobbies included cooking, reading, and yard work. She enjoyed growing daylilies and shared her plants with many individuals. Margie was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Harry Dees, Sr., her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Homer Lewis, and one sister, Rosalyn Faye Lewis. She is survived by one son, Charles Harry "Buddy" Dees, Jr., and one daughter, Linda K. Dees, both of Ozark; one sister, Raye Jean Connell of Moultrie, Georgia. Service Information
