Comforted in God's love Leadell Dameron Williams, 91, followed her late husband, Bryant Fleming Williams, Senior to Heaven on March 27, 2012. Funeral services will be graveside 1:00 P. M. Thursday, March 29, 2012, in Westview Memorial Cemetery with Reverend Bill Hix officiating. Interment will follow, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. Leadell was born in DeLand, Florida on October 15, 1920. As a small child, she moved with her family to Valdosta, Georgia where she attended Valdosta public schools. She graduated from Valdosta High School. Leadell and her husband, "Buddy", settled in Ozark and reared six children. Her lifelong interest centered in her church, her children, her grandchildren, and her community. She was a dedicated member of the Ozark Baptist Church and a Bible scholar. For more than sixty-five years, she taught all age groups in Sunday School, BTU, and summer vacation Bible Schools. Through the years she served her community as a Girl Scout leader, PTA leader, Carroll High School Band Booster President, and was involved in charity fund raisers, including President of the Ozark Antique Society, and was a pink lady at the hospital. She was an avid gardener, reader, and enjoyed bridge with many friends. Leadell is survived by five of her six children, Merry Lee Dixon of Mountain Brook, Alabama; Linda Gay Parker, wife to Thomas Hackney Parker of Wilmington, North Carolina; Bryant Fleming Williams, Jr., husband of Emily Moore Williams of Ozark; Cynthia Dell Nemish, wife to Robert Mark Nemish of Ozark; and Sylvia Dodgen of Orange Beach, Alabama. One son, Raymond Therman Williams of Ozark preceded his mother in death in 2008. Leadell's twelve grandchildren are Merry Virginia Gardner wife to Robert T. Gardner of Mountain Brook, Alabama; Walter Lacy Dixon, husband to Karen Dixon of Huntsville, Alabama; Linda Gay Stanley wife to Jaime Stanley of Goldsboro, North Carolina; Thomas Hackney Parker, Jr., husband to Jennifer Ray Parker of Wilmington, North Carolina; Leigh Dell Lanier Hanner, wife to Marlin Dela Hanner, Jr. of Enterprise; Mary Margaret Fiedler of Montgomery, Alabama; Dr. Bryant Fleming Williams, III, husband to Danielle Wintzler Williams of Dothan; Raymond Therman Williams, Jr. of Dothan; John Reed Williams, husband to Holland Sinrod Williams of Montgomery; Susannah Lucinda Parker of Wilmington, North Carolina; Miranda Williams Dodgen of Dothan; Abigail Williams Ganus, wife to Bryan Ganus of Warrior, Alabama. Leadell is also survived by thirteen great grandchildren and two sisters, Isabel Dameron Neal and Phyllis Dameron Hayes, wife of Billy Hayes.
