CWO (Retired) Mr. Leon M. "Mac" McSwain, Jr., 77, of Ozark, died Saturday evening, October 9, 2004, in Dale Medical Center. Funeral services will be 2:00 P. M. Tuesday, October 12, 2004, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home in Ozark with Father Jack McLeester officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Memory Gardens with full Military Honors, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at Holman Funeral Home in Ozark from 6:00 P. M. until 8:00 P. M. Monday evening. Mr. McSwain was a native of West Palm Beach, Florida having lived in various locations while serving in the United States Navy. His service included World War II, the Korean Conflict, and the Vietnam War. He made his home in Panama City, Florida following his retirement until moving to Ozark in 1993. Mr. McSwain was a member of St. Michael's Episcopal Church in Ozark. Survivors include his wife, Bett McSwain, Ozark, three daughters, Judy Ekles, Panama City, Florida, Sunni Jacobs and her husband, Johnny, Ariton, and Tani Spears and her husband, Michael, Ariton, two sons, Richard McSwain and his wife, Dianna, Newport, Washington, and Michael Olive, Ozark, Alabama, one sister, Betty Culpepper and her husband, Sam, Smyrna, Georgia.
