Just a note to let you know that you all are in our thoughts and prayer. Mike and I were in the Warrant Officer Advanced course (1978) together. Elaine, you and Mike along with little Mike lived down the street from us (149 North Harris) and spent the night with us before moving on. Mike was a wonderful friend who could really make you laugh with some of the pictures he use to draw. One thing is for certain we will see him again on the other side. May God watch over you and comfort you. Bill

Well, Mr. Schovel was a great guy. I knew him as a teacher in my 10th and 11th grade. He was the greatest teacher I have ever had. He was more to me as a teacher. He was a role model and a follower of Jesus Christ. My dad Bob Giffin knew him while they were in the Army together. He was a great guy. I loved him as a teacher. He always made his class fun to be in and not want to leave. I loved school again when I had him as a teacher. He was the greatest. Love you very much Mr. Schovel. I will always remember you in the years to pass. At graduation I will remember you the most as the teacher who cared about me passing. I loved it when he would always let me stay after school just to talk or get help in school. I will remember you for the rest of my life. I hope to see you in heaven some day. Love you, Jessica Giffin C/O 05
