Mr. George Gatha Smith, age 59, of Ocala, Florida, formerly of Daleville, died Wednesday, February 6, 2008. Funeral services will be 2:00 P. M. Sunday, February 10, 2008, from Corinth Freewill Baptist Church with Reverend Ray Preston officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. His body will be placed in the Church one hour prior to service time on Sunday. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3:00 P. M. until 5:00 P. M. Saturday afternoon. Mr. Smith was born November 9, 1948 in Daleville to the late Catherine Walding Smith and George W. E. Smith. He moved to Florida in 2003 to be near his sister and brother-in-law, Linda and William "Bill" Scott of Ocala. Survivors also include his aunt, Patricia Doswell of Montgomery; his great niece, Tracie Armstrong and her husband, Keith of Skipperville. Several other nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.
