Obituary of William Earl McLendon

Mr. McLendon was born April 23, 1924, and was married to Merle Parr on March 9, 1942. He was a member of Post Oak Baptist Church where he was a deacon for many years. He retired after working for 25 years with Walter Hand Ford and 25 years with Dominey Motors, both of Ozark. He was preceded in death by his parents Bert and Jamie McLendon, two brothers, Bert and Edward McLendon, and one sister, Mary Crews. Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Merle McLendon, Ozark, one daughter, Linda Ellen Mauser and her husband, Ken, Parrish, Florida, one son, W. E. McLendon, Jr. and his wife, Judy, Ozark, two grandsons, Bret Mauser and his wife, Jennifer, Dayton, Ohio, and Shawn Mauser and his wife, Arleen, Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin, one granddaughter, Kim Bell and her husband, Rick, Ozark, four great grandchildren, Jacob, Oliver and Emma Mauser, Dayton, Ohio, and Jamie Bell, Ozark, four sisters, Claudia Bunch, Ruth Gant, Annette Tilmon, and Shirley Cady all of South Carolina, two brothers, Lewis McLendon and Kenneth McLendon both of South Carolina, a special caregiver, Rosie Johnson, Ozark. Memorials may be made in his memory to the National Parkinson's Foundation, 1501 NW 9th Avenue, Miami, Florida 33136.
