Obituary of Malcolm Woodrow Watson

Mr. Malcolm Woodrow Watson, age 86, of Enterprise, died Tuesday, July 11, 2007, at his daughter's home in Cottonwood, following an extended illness. Funeral services will be 3:30 P. M. Friday, July 13, 2007, from Bethel United Methodist Church with Reverend Dr. Billy D. Gaither,Reverend Bennie Corbin, and Reverend Thomas Harrison officiating. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. His grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Mr. Watson's body will be placed in the Church one hour prior to service time on Friday. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 P. M. until 8:00 P. M. Thursday evening. Mr. Watson was born September 30, 1920 in Dale County to the late Dellie Camilla Cook Watson and Jesse Thomas Watson. He and his late wife owned and operated Copter Moving and Storage in Enterprise for 25 years until their retirement in 1987. Mr. Watson was the oldest member of Bethel United Methodist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Mavis Louise Riley Watson on October 14, 2006, a son, Larry Malcolm Watson, his sister, Frances Watson McDaniel, and his brother, Monroe Watson. Survivors include three daughters, Janice Wells and her husband, Pat of Cottonwood, Patricia Wise and her husband, Tim of Coffee Springs, and Shanda Preston and her husband, Rymon of Ashford, two sons, Roger Watson and his wife, Judy of Eufaula, and Riley Watson and his wife, Sara of Enterprise, nine grandchildren, Chris Watson, Craig Watson, Sissie Woodall, Pat Wells, Jr., Bo Wells, Kelli Blankenship, Clay Wise, Dewey Denman, and Dylan Denman, nine great grandchildren, River Watson, Brantley Watson, Marlee Wells, Hank Wells, Ashbey Woodall, Clara Lynn Blankenship, Alex Blankenship, Hannah Blankenship, and Anna Grace Wise. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made in his memory to Wiregrass Hospice, P. O.
