Obituary of Lucille Bayne Morris

Mrs. Lucille Bayne Morris, age 84, of Ozark, died Sunday afternoon, June 11, 2006, in Ozark Health and Rehabilitation Center. Funeral services will be 11:00 A. M. Wednesday, June 14, 2006 from Hillcrest Baptist Church with Reverend Isom Hill, Reverend W. L. Sheffield, and her nephew, Reverend Robert "Bob" Bayne, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Memory Gardens with Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 P. M. until 7:00 P. M. Tuesday evening. Mrs. Morris was born January 12, 1922 in Ozark to the late Edna Wicks Balkcom Bayne and Talmadge DeWitt Bayne. She was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church and a homemaker. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Morris was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse O. Morris. Survivors include her daughter, Annie Martha Elder and her husband, Joe of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, four sisters, Louise Collier of Winter Haven, Florida, Elizabeth Cooke of Atlanta, Georgia, Marge Boom of Huntsville, Alabama, and Ann Chase and her husband, Ray of Webesterville, Vermont, one brother, Robert "Bob" Bayne, Sr. and his wife, Edna E. of Ozark. Four grandchildren and ten great grandchildren also survive. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made in her memory to Hillcrest Baptist Church Building Fund, 246 Church Street, Ozark, Alabama 36360.
