Mr. Billy Q. Norris, age 75, of Dothan, died Wednesday, February 8, 2006, in Southeast Alabama Medical Center. Funeral services will be 11:00 A. M. Saturday, February 11, 2006 in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home in Ozark with Reverend Forrest Weekley officiating. His sister, Ann Adams, and his niece, Karissa Dasinger, will deliver the eulogy. Interment will follow in Camp Ground Baptist Church Cemetery with Military Honors, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 P. M. until 8:00 P. M. Friday evening. Mr. Norris was born April 29, 1931 to the late Maye Partridge Norris and William Adelbert Norris. He served 20 years in the United States Air Force until his retirement in 1971, and then was affiliated with the First Bank of Commerce of Louisiana in New Orleans, retiring in 1984. Following his retirement he made his home in Dothan where he worked for several years as a security guard at Pemco. Mr. Norris enjoyed fishing and building model airplanes. Survivors include two sisters; Ann Norris Adams and her husband, Jesse of Atalla, Alabama, and Sue Norris Davis and the late M. R. "Shine" Davis of Ozark. Also surviving are one nephew, two nieces, three grand nephews, and five grand nieces. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made in his memory to the American Cancer Society, 2346 West Main Street, Suite 3, Dothan, Alabama 36301.
