Obituary of John L. Bludsworth

Mr. John Luther "Johnny" Bludsworth, Jr., age 53, of Daleville, died Thursday morning, April 13, 2006, at his home following a courageous battle with cancer. Funeral services will be 2:00 P. M. Saturday, April 15, 2006, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home in Ozark with Reverend Robert Beasley officiating. Interment will follow in Westview Memorial Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 P. M. Saturday until service time. Mr. Bludsworth was born April 10, 1953 in Dale County to Margaret Earleen Herring Bludsworth and the late John Luther Bludsworth, Sr. Mr. Bludsworth was a life-long resident of Daleville where he was a member of Providence Baptist Church. Following his service in the United States Army, Mr. Bludsworth worked as a truck driver in long distance hauling. He then worked with West Gate Veterinarian Clinic for 15 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and farming with his late father and his neighbors. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Faye Folds, Johneen King, and Margie Bludsworth. Survivors include his Mother, Earleen Bludsworth of Daleville, one sister, Annise Maund of Daleville, two special aunts, Virginia Duffy and Willeen Cook. A host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and many friends also survive. The family would like to express a special thanks to everyone at Wiregrass Hospice.
