Mrs. Doris Costner, age 64, of Ariton, died Tuesday, February 20, 2007 in Flowers Hospital following an extended illness. Funeral services will be 2:00 P. M. Friday, February 23, 2007, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home in Ozark with Reverend Harry Circle officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Olive Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 P. M. until 7:00 P. M. Thursday evening. Mrs. Costner was born May 1, 1942 in Mount Holly, North Carolina to Maybell Flowers Lyman and the late Charles Lyman. She was preceded in death by her son, Jeffery Scott Costner. In addition to her Mother, survivors include her husband, Sanford K. Costner of Ariton, one daughter and son-in-law, Sherry Ann and Jud Spivey of Milledgeville, Georgia, two sons and daughters-in-law, Douglas K. and Gwen Costner of Scottsville, Virginia, and Darryl Wayne and Diane Costner of Enfield, Connecticut, seven grandchildren, Cody Keith Costner, Phillip Michael Costner, Nicole Costner, Stacy Marieann Costner, Gwendolyn Beth Costner, Victoria Danielle Spivey, and Wyatt Scott Spivey. Serving as pallbearers will be: Johnathan Danner, Mitch Downing, Jason Downing, Robby Cotton, Robert Cotton, and Rex Downing.
